Jewish Kindergarten

"And ye shall teach them your children"

Dvarim, 11:19.

The Jewish group "Prahim Israelim" for kids of the age 3-7 was started at Cherkassy municipal kindergarten N 81 due to the financial support of JDC and Jewish Educational Foundation Pinkus. This year United Jewish Communities of MetroWest, New Jersey, granted funds for kindergarten maintenance, too.

The group has a separate premise with a room for games and studies, a bedroom, etc. Big kindergarten hall is used for Holiday celebrations and performances.

Children are taken to the kindergarten in the morning and are driven back home in the evenings by Hesed vehicle. They are always accompanied by teachers. Kids are provided with well-balanced nutrition.

With the help of various games children study Hebrew, Jewish dances and songs, history and geography of the State of Israel, read Jewish books, etc.

Every Friday Shabbat for children and their parents is celebrated.
