Regional Program

Program is directed on rendering assistance to Jews in all localities of the region. It covers 15 regions of Cherkassy area. Total number of wards in the region - 1100 persons. 26 visiting nurses and 5 workers participate in the program. Charitable canteens are organized in 6 Hesed's representative offices, and in 2 localities - "Warm homes". 166 persons get dinners, 110 wards get home-nursing service.

Within the framework of Regional Program the subprogram "Hesed on wheels" is working. 11 routes that cover the whole area were designed. Program "Hesed on wheels" works in following directions:

• Delivering of grocery kits, parcels, medical equipment, medicines, Jewish newspapers, journals and so on.
• Searching Jews in need, carried out under the slogan "To Get To Each Jew"
• Undertaking of Jewish holidays in small communities, providing lectures, conversations, directed on the spiritual rebirth of Jews.
