Program "Hot dinners"

"Let all the hungry come and eat"

Program provides wards with hot dinners in canteen, at home, or by arranging "Warm houses". This program works in 11 cities and serves 373 persons. Wards eat 7 times a week. Furthermore under wardships persons, which are eat in the Hesed canteen receive liter of milk and loaf of bread for the week-end.

Approximate menu:

Vegetable salad

First meal (borsch, soup)

Second meal (meat dish with garnish)

Third meal (compote with bun)

This program is most developed in Cherkassy. Special common-room was chosen for feeding the wards. Dinners are combined with cultural actions: conversations on medical themes, concerts, meetings with the interesting people, happy birthday's congratulations.

Within the framework of the program "Hot dinners" acts a program "Parcels" (grocery kits). These kits are afforded to wards in need each month, and to the rest of them - on Jewish holidays (Rosh ha-Shana, Hanuka, Pesah). Veterans of World War II get a parcel on the Victory Day.

To wards that cannot come to canteen, dinners and parcels are delivered to home.

Wards in charitable canteen. They have dinner here as well as communicate with each other, celebrate birthdays and Jewish holidays.
