The program "Day center" is a program of stationary social assistance, which helps to elderly, not mobile persons, who don`t go out of doors, need in getting professional cervices and cultural leisure and other kinds of assistance, which can`t to be proposed at home. Main idea of this program is assistance to elderly persons in crisis and stress, who need rehabilitation.

Activities of day center include common breakfasts, dinners, consultations of doctor-volunteers, lawyers. They have ability to get a haircut, repair small household devices, repair shoes and clothes, take a book in a library, to order equipment which distributed by the program "Leasing of medical equipment", visit activities of the club program. However, special attention is attended to contacts both between clients and between clients and workers of the Hesed and specially invited guests √ volunteers.

For clients of this program there are lectures about traditions of Jewish people and history, about literature, music, theatre, cinema and lectures with medical theme. Clients attend therapeutic physical training, seances of psychological relief and work therapy.

The program works since 1 of September 2001. At present time the program includes more then 100 clients from Cherkassy, Smela and Zolotonosha, who divided into 10-11 groups. This dividing give ability to each client to visit day center 2 times per month.
